Student E-News - October 2006

           October 2006

           Did you know that:

               ▪ UK organizations and researchers lead the world in fields including biotechnology,
climate change and sustainable energy. Just last week the UK announced that a
wind turbine will provide renewable energy for the 2012 Games in London.
               ▪ People love British films. Last year, British films raked in more than three billion
dollars and were seen by over 600 million people worldwide.

Want to become a part of the UK's tradition of innovation and creativity? Order our free
guides to studying arts and science in the United Kingdom, or check out some of the

The city is a playground and a privacy-free zone in Blast
Theory's Can You See Me Now? an urban game played both
online and in the streets of Chicago this November. Log on
and be dropped at random into a virtual map of Chicago,
while Blast Theory performers in the real streets use GPS
technology to track and catch you. Anyone can join in this
high-octane chase and become a voyeur or live prey - get
ready to run for your life!
