            Spring break is just around the corner. Did you know that students who attend
            institutions in the UK often have as much as five weeks off between terms? Whether
            you've always dreamed of cycling from Penzance to Skye, or are itching to explore
            continental Europe, spring break UK-style offers plenty of opportunities to indulge your
            budget travel fantasies. Check out our Student Life and Cool UK sections for more great
            ideas on how to spend your free time while studying in the UK.

            Have you studied in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern
            Ireland?  If you had the time of your life, share your experience
            with other students by becoming a British Council USA Student
            Ambassador.  The deadline to apply is March 29, so have your
            study abroad or academic advisor complete a nomination form
            today.

         Scotland Conversations. 
          

            From April 1 to April 8, National Tartan Week rocks New York
            City with events ranging from art exhibitions to live music to
            fashion shows and more.  Join us on April 3-4 for The
            Scotland Conversations New York, a series of provocative
            discussions and remarkable performances created by
            Scotland's leading universities.

            Events include a rich program of Scottish and American
            music, a fascinating evening on the arts and the pursuit of
            happiness and an exploration of the changing face of
            patriotism from the Scottish Enlightenment to the post 9/11
            world.
