           Earth Day is Saturday, April 22.  Did you know that the UK is a global leader in combating
           climate change and fostering renewable energy resources?  From the cutting-edge
           research underway at the Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research, to the
           Carbon Trust's efforts to reduce carbon emissions, the UK is taking steps to address the
           challenges of climate change at the national and international level.

           Want to learn more?  Check out the British Council's global ZeroCarbonCity initiative, a
           two-year campaign to raise awareness and stimulate debate around climate change and
           the challenges faced around the world.
