This is what Teaching Centre students say about it
Valeriy Doroshenko (pre-intermediate level) “I like the relaxed atmosphere. I like meeting new people who are interested in practising English. I am the Dean of the Management department of the State Personnel Institute. I need English for my job: we have lots of foreign students and I also participate in international conferences. I have foreign colleagues in France and Germany.”
Alexander Zaets (intermediate level of Business English programme) “The Club is very useful for studying English. I like the relaxed atmosphere. Although I am a busy person I manage to find time to participate in the Club sessions because it helps a lot in developing my spoken English.”
Nastia Levitskaya, FCE2 “I am a regular at the Club meetings, as they appear to be very useful for me. It is a good way to get rid of fears of making mistakes when speaking English because you talk to other students who also make mistakes and you become more confident about your knowledge. It is a very good way to practise your English.”
Viktor Solovyov (intermediate level) “I like the new format of the Speaking Club. I would recommend it to every student of the British Council as I consider the Club Socials the best way of improving my English skills”.
Tetyana Nesyna (pre-intermediate level of English) “After my secondary school I was afraid of communicating in English because I was afraid of making a mistake. The Club events made me more confident in communicating in English. I can say that it is worth spending the time on this Club event.”
