Choose and sign up for your topicChoose your topic from the list on the website. Each topic includes everything you need for success; with teachers’ notes, students’ pages and an Exchange Form. Add your topic and availability to communicate/exchange with other schools under ‘My Exchanges’ within ‘My Zone’.
Study the topic Your students work through the students’ pages. This could be part of your classroom work or an extra-curricular activity. Research for each topic takes approximately 3-6 hours, which may also include a homework assignment.
Complete the Exchange Form Your students need to complete a single version of the Exchange Form in English. Once this is done, it can then be uploaded and sent via the website to share with other schools.
Begin a new Exchange Through ‘My Exchanges’ choose your schools to exchange with and send a ‘request for exchange’ to your selected schools. We suggest you select up to 20 schools from the online database. Wait for your selected schools to accept your request. Also accept requests from schools to you.
Carry out the ExchangeSend your Exchange Form to the schools that have accepted your request and respond to schools that have requested an Exchange from you.
Discuss and report your findings Once you have received a number of Exchange Forms you can explore the different responses to the topic issues around the world. Encourage your students to display and report their findings in some way.
