The Paradox Show Project is conducted in partnership with Kharkiv Educational Centre for Gifted Students, V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University and Scientific Centre for Physics and Technology.
Paradox Show is an educational mini-project aimed at engaging school students aged 7-15 into science through interactive presentations, quizzes, demonstration of unusual natural phenomena in an innovative and interactive way. Participants have a unique opportunity to try hands-on models, take part in experiments and play with science toys, discover a wide range of entertaining science facts. Children enjoy these really exciting shows and become aware that science is fun.
Secondary school science teachers are most welcome as well. The venue is at Interactive Science Centre for School Students (5 Maidan Svobody, V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University, Northern Building, Room 228B). One show lasts for 1.5 hours. Groups from schools are welcome, as well as individuals, but please contact us in advance to make sure you are registered. Outreach visits to schools can be agreed at least 10-14 days in advance.
We have been conducting Paradox Show Project since November 2004. So far we have developed the following interactive programmes: Science in a Soap Bubble, New Year at -170C* Degree, Wonderful Magnets, Sound show, Science for Little Ones, Wonderful Rotation, Science in Toys. The shows have been conducted for Kharkiv and Kyiv school students many times and have enjoyed great popularity.
Attendance is free for all participants.
