Four Self Access Centres operate in Ukraine:
Kyiv, Lviv, Sevastopol, Zhytomyr.

Using the SAC

Membership of the SAC is free of charge for serving officers and NCOs, teachers from military institutes and other employees of the MoD. Learners of English can use the resources of the centres to improve their language and professional skills. The centres provide:

• internet facilities
• specialised computer programmes for studying English
• video and audio cassettes
• grammar and vocabulary books
• materials for exam preparation
• magazines and periodicals
• dictionaries
• fiction and specialised literature.

Teachers can make use of a range of resource and methodology books, teaching aids and specialist military English materials for use in the classroom.

The centres can accommodate 10–20 users at any one time on a pre-booking per hour service.
