'Creation of the National Agency for European Integration as an important component of the centralised mechanism of European integration policy coordination in Ukraine' — such was the main topic of discussion at the round table Challenges and Development of EI Policy Coordination Mechanisms in Ukraine.
The round table was organised by the European Union Co-ordination Project (EUCOP) with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. It was held on 24 April 2008 at the British Council and was attended by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and International Integration Hrihoriy Nemirya, members of the Vice Prime Minister's Office, representatives of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, various ministries involved in the European integration work, the Britsh Embassy, Delegation of the European Commission in Ukraine, other donor projects and NGOs.
The round table provided a forum for discussion of the current and potential EI coordination mechanism in Ukraine, and included presentation of two technical reports prepared by EUCOP team.
