IELTS results are issued on the 13th day after your test date. The results are presented in a Test Report Form as a score on a band scale from 1 from 9. Scores are given to each module as well as to the overall level. Each band is described in a statement which summarises the language skills of a candidate. There is no pass or fail mark. A candidate may re-take the test on any date available.
You can also check your results for 28 days on ielts-results.britishcouncil.org. Online IELTS results are provisional and should not be used as an official confirmation of IELTS scores.
The Test Report Form is available on the 13th day after the exam date. No information about the results can be given over the telephone, fax or e-mail.
One original copy is sent to a candidate by mail or given personally upon request. Up to five copies may be sent to institutions specified by a candidate in their IELTS application form and also sent by candidate to the exams services by e-mail. If a candidate asks to send more than 5 copies of IELTS results, an additional fee is charged.
IELTS results are valid for two years.
You may ask us to make an enquiry concerning reassessment of your results within six weeks of the test date. To do this please complete the Enquiry on Results Form, return it to us along with your original Test Report Form and pay the fee of £60 in hryvnya equivalent in the British Council Kyiv.
If your mark is raised, a new Test Report Form is issued and the fee for reassessment is refunded. We will send you a letter on the outcome of an enquiry.
