15-year-old Oliver Tate has two objectives: to lose his virginity before his next birthday, and to extinguish the flame between his mother and an ex-lover who has resurfaced in her life. A 'skewed teen romance', Submarine is the director debut of The IT Crowd TV series star, Richard Ayoade. The film is produced by Ben Stiller and features piercing tracks by the singer and guitarist of Arctic Monkeys.
