Funding your studies

UK education is world class and offers good value for money. It is the affordable option because degree courses are intensive and shorter. International students are given a warm welcome in the United Kingdom because of the cultural, political and developmental benefits they bring, while gaining skills which will be useful in their home countries.

As an international student, you are responsible for paying fees to cover registration, tuition, accommodation and other expenses such as travel and books. Standard rates per year are about £6,000 for Arts courses, £8,000 for science courses and £14,000 for Health and Medical studies. A few scholarships are available but these are very limited and competitive and as such, most international students studying in the UK fund their education privately through self-funding, their employment, or family. Click on the links below for details on some of the scholarships that are available.
