New African writers
BRITISH COUNCIL PUBLISHES TITLES

British Council Uganda in association with Mallory International UK Ltd has published four new books by Ugandan authors. The books were launched on Thursday 30 March 2006 in Kampala during the Crossing Borders reading evening.  

The titles and their respective authors are as follows:

  1. 'By the African Fire' by Julius Caesar Sseremba
  2. 'A Leopard in My Bed and other stories' by Patrick Mangeni Wa’Ndeda
  3. 'The Price of Memory' by Mildred Kiconco Barya
  4. 'The Deadly Ambition' by Glaydah Namukasa

Limited copies are available at subsidised prices at our Library and Information Centre, so please come and get yourself a copy!

The books are also available on sale at these subsidised prices at FEMRITE (Uganda Women Writers’ Association), Plot 147Kiira Road, Kamwokya, Kampala.

Copies are also available at retail prices at Gustro Bookshop, Jinja Road, Kampala and will soon be available in other bookshops in town.
