British Council Uganda
What we do

Arts
We bring you the best in contemporary UK Arts, Culture and Education. In doing this, we create a superhighway in exchanging ideas and promoting lasting relationships of mutuality in the expanding global village.

Learning
We aim to increase international recognition of the range and quality of learning opportunities from the UK.

Through our knowledge and learning approach we have integrated exams, learning, information, events and professional development to offer you a service that provides UK expertise, whatever your needs.

Education opportunities
We also have an ongoing commitment to creating education opportunities for aspiring young professionals. You can gain qualifications with us by studying online at the British Council in Accra for qualifications in subjects such as management, marketing, accountancy, creative writing, e-commerce, journalism and music.

Exams
We administer exams and work with examination boards, educational institutions and professional bodies to market and provide access to UK education products. Through our partnership with the Department for International Development, we manage a programme of Higher Education Links and Technical Co-operation Training. We also work with journalists and provide funding, like the UK Teachers International Professional Development, as part of our work that aims to link schools.

Partnerships
Our partnerships in government and civil society help us to increase awareness and appreciation of the UK's democratic values and processes among young people, professionals and leaders. This work involves initiatives and projects on human rights, access to justice, freedom of information, civic education and leadership development.

We also develop and support networks of creative innovators in music, dance, design and literature in Ghana. Through these networks, we can create long-term relationships with UK counterparts to create awareness of the UK's creativity and cultural diversity

WHO WE WORK WITH
In searching for the best partners, British Council sector teams always search for the best in the fields of Management, Education, Culture and Arts to promote programmes that will be of mutual benefit to both participants.
