Dubai Creek – UNESCO World Heritage site campaign

Khor Dubai or Dubai Creek is considered the driving force which led to the thriving development of Dubai over the course of more than 500 years.

The campaign aims to spread awareness on the importance of Khor Dubai to the future generations, shedding light on the role it plays on the economical and the social level.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) seeks to encourage the identification, protection and preservation of cultural and natural heritage around the world which are considered to be of outstanding value to humanity by naming these sites as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Currently, Khor Dubai is listed as a ‘nominated’ UNESCO World Heritage site and is waiting for approval from UNESCO to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
