British Pavilion in Venice
Steve Mcqueen to represent Britain at Venice Biennale
The British Council is delighted to announce that Steve McQueen has been selected to represent Britain at the 53rd Venice Biennale.  McQueen will present a solo exhibition in the British Pavilion to be shown from June to November, 2009. To find out more please click here.

Call for Artists
The Korean Cultural Centre UK and the British Council are looking for artists of Korean origin working in the UK. The selected artists’ work will then be exhibited at the Korean Cultural Centre in December 2008. To find out how to apply please click here.
Kenya wins IYME 08 Award
Kenyan music producer Robert ‘Rkay’ Kamanzi has been named as the International Young Music Entrepreneur 2008 at an awards ceremony at digital music conference London Calling. Kamanzi wins a prize fund of £7,500 to be spent on a project to be developed with the British Council. To read more about the programme please click here.

If you are a visual artist and have an exhibition of your work overseas, we may be able to help with your transportation and travel costs. We can't help with exhibitions in the UK.
