ROAD TO CHELTHENAM FESTIVAL 2009
Famelab finalists presented their fantastic presentations in an innovative and engaging way.

THE FINALISTS

The "final" of the Competition took place at the Kadir Has University on 14th March 2009.  Six finalists presented their scientific ideas.  Jury made delicate assessments of the presentations of the six finalists to be able to identify the winner. Ercan Tatlı  from Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Science Teaching Dept of Faculty of Education win the contest with his colourful presentation on Goldon Ratio and collected the highest marks from the jury. Ercan Tatlı  will attend the Chelthenam Science festival in the UK in June 2009.

THE PRIZES

The winner of the Grand Final Ercan Tatlı will travel to the UK for the Cheltenham Science Festival in June 2009, where he will compete in FameLab International together with the other eight South East Europe winners.

The winner will also have the opportunity to take part in a series of networking events with other young science communicators in Europe.

But there'll be new opportunities for all the finalists – they'll all have the chance to take part in interactive workshops and a series of scientifique debates through a very lively and active science communication network that has been created.

FameLab is taking place in nine countries in South East Europe.
