Turkey - International Climate Education Workshop
The Climate Education workshop created an opportunity for Climate Advocates to meet peers working on similar issues and experts from the UK and Turkey. They had the chance to learn more both about education on the environment in schools and about raising environmental awareness among the general public.
The Climate Education event was held at the campus of the Middle East Technical University in Ankara. It was organised by the British Council in partnership with UK-Turkey Environment Society (UTES) and the Middle East Technical University (METU)

The opening speeches were given by Haluk Özdalga, Turkish Grand national assembly, Head of Environment Commission, Jeff Streeter, British Council Director Operations Turkey, Nuri Tuç, UTES Director of Board, Tuğba Tanyeri, Head of Science and Technology Museum.
Participants and speakers from Turkey, UK, Hungary, Denmark Czech Republic, Slovakia, Finland, Slovenia, and Greece discussed topics on Climate Education.
