PUBLIC DEBATES
Implications of science for society

We will initiate conversations and discussions about the connections between science, technology and society. It is a concept that has been adapted by the British Council to engage a wider audience with science and the impact it has on our lives.

The debates on scientific and social/citizenship issues will be commissioned to UK scientist and media fellow Jim Al-Khalili with the assistance of local science communicators.

British Council Turkey organised a public debate under the Beautiful Science Project on 25 March 2008.  The subject of the discussion was on future energy.
