The following applies to the Chevening / Turkish Education Foundation jointly sponsored scholarship programme. The scholarship will cover tuition fees up to £12,000 for 12-month programmes and your living expenses in the UK.
Chevening scholarships are available for post-graduate level study for a minimum of 3 months and maximum of 1 year. In UK most Master-level programmes are for 1 year only.

- Must be able to demonstrate future leadership potential and the capacity to play an important role in Turkey's development.

Key areas supported by us are outlined above. Please be informed that we may consider courses outside of these areas, but awards will be made in exceptional cases only if the applicant is able to demonstrate outstanding leadership potential and make the case for an alternative course of study.
You should be filling the application form that is present on our website and sending three copies of the application form to TEV no later then 21st November 2008. Please be informed that you will be asked for the supporting hard copy documents at this stage of your application. You can find the list of the supporting hard copy documents below;
- 3 recent photos,
- Transcripts from your university ( in case you have a masters degree, please attach it as well),
- Two reference letters in a sealed and signed envelope (professional or academic),
- Photocopies of academic certificates,
- Valid IELTS result if available, (please read below)
- Birth certificate
- Declaration of Health Form
After evaluating your documents and if they are complete you will be invited for an interview. If you do not have an IELTS score during the time of application you will be asked to sit for one if you are found successful in the interview. The exam fee will be paid by British Council. We are aiming to inform the applicants of their results no later then 1st of March.
You must send three copies of the application form together with the supporting documents to TEV no later than 21st November 2008.
If you have already been offered a place at a university you should include the offer letter in your application. If not, the deadline for selected candidates to present their offer letters from UK institutions is 30 March 2009.
All documents must be in English or translated into English.
