Cambridge young learners

Young learners exams (YLE) are designed to offer a comprehensive approach to testing the English of primary learners between the ages of 7 and 12. Why not encourage your children to take one of the three available tests for young learners: Starters, Movers and Flyers.

Starters
Is the first key level and is intended for children between the ages of 7 and 11. These children are likely to have completed one year of English lessons (or about 100 hours) and will be expected to have an active vocabulary of around 300 words.

Movers
Is the second key level and is designed for children aged between 8 and 12. These children are likely to have completed approximately three years of English classes (or about 175 hours) and will be expected to have an active vocabulary of around 600 words.

Flyers
Is the third key level and is intended for children between the ages of 9 and 12 who have been studying English for some time (e.g. about 250 hours) and have reached a level of English ability specified by the Council of Europe's Waystage document. This is the same level as KET. The children will be expected to have an active vocabulary of around 1000 words

How much will it cost?

Starters £40.00
Movers £40.00
Flyers £40.00
