We are the sole administrator for UK exams. You can sit your exams in Istanbul, Ankara or Izmir. We run all our examination services from British Council Istanbul Centre. We hold exams for UK universities and vocational institutes’ wide range of academic and vocational subjects.

Every UK academic and professional exam has different regulations about how they should be run. We guarantee implementation of these regulations. We receive examination papers under strict security, provide a room and invigilator for the exam, and return the finished scripts to the UK.

Times of exams

There is a two hour time difference between the UK and Turkey which can sometimes cause problems if the same exams are taking place simultaneously in the UK. The university / exam board/professional body may, therefore, wish us to adapt the exam timetable to allow a safe overlap. Exam sessions usually start; in the morning at 1000 and afternoon at 1400 at Turkey’s local time unless otherwise specified (GMT+2).

The requests may be received from the candidate or from the academic/professional organisation in which the candidate is enrolled in.

RE-SITS

Every semester we arrange re-sits for students enrolled in the UK Universities. This service enables students to avoid cutting short their holidays in Turkey.

School exams

If you are about to leave school or planning to go to a UK university, we can help you to achieve a General Certificate of Education (GCE) at O-level or A-level. GCE is an internationally recognized qualification administered in a variety of subjects. It is a stepping stone to help you further your education, develop new skills, prepare you for university entrance requirements.

Please note that we are not able to provide facilities for practical tests, this service is for written exams only.

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) has been designed for 14 to 16 year olds. It aims to prepare students for further academic success, including progression to A and AS Level study, and equip them with skills for immediate employment. It is equivalent in standard to the British GCSE and is recognized as evidence of ability by academic institutions and employers worldwide.
