How to transfer or cancel your IELTS registration?

TEST DATE TRANSFER

Candidates may transfer their IELTS session date to a later session 6 weeks prior to the test date.
The transfer requests should be made with IELTS Transfer and Cancellation form.
Transfer application is allowed only once.
Transfer requests are not accepted by phone.
If the transfer request is made within the 6th week prior to the test date, candidates need to pay extra £30 as transfer fee.
Requests for a transfer within five weeks prior to the test date, will not be accepted.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Candidates may cancel their IELTS registration 6 weeks prior to the test date for any given reason
The cancellation requests should be made with IELTS Transfer and Cancellation form.
Cancellation requests are not accepted by phone
Candidates who cancel within the 6th week prior to the test date will receive £60 in Turkish Liras according to British Council's exchange rate
No refund is made for cancellations submitted within five weeks prior to the test date
No refund is made for cancellations submitted within five weeks prior to the test date
The British Council is responsible for the administration of the exams. However, the British Council will not be liable for any delays or cancellations arising from reasons beyond our control. In such circumstances, British Council will show the utmost effort in returning to normal operations in the shortest time possible.
