HOW IELTS IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER EXAMS

IELTS is distinguished from all the other exams since it is a  paper based exam. As candidates are familiar with this type of examination method  in their educational system, they have a much better chance to establish better results. Most of the other exams, other than IELTS, are being conducted on ‘computer based’.

Another advantage of IELTS is that the speaking part of the exam is performed on face to face basis. Conducted by experienced examiners, candidates are guided to express themselves with full confidence in a real dialog unlike theother exams where the speaking part is conducted via a computer with a microphone and an earphone which is an artificial environment of dialog.

In computer based exams, candidates who sit the same exam do different parts of the exam. These types of situations bring forth  concentration problems for candidates. In IELTS exams, listening, reading and writing parts start at the same time and ends at the same time for all candidates. As for the speaking part, all candidates are evaluated in their own time.
