TeachingEnglish Blogathon aims to invite all teaching professionals whether you are teaching at university or pre-school level to find out more about trends in the English Language Teaching. We would like to recognise teachers who would like to use technology to connect with other teachers in the most engaging and inspiring ways.
Bloggers will be short-listed according to the evaluation criteria and judged by a panel of English language teaching professionals, using the Delphi Technique. The Delphi Technique is a method for structuring a group communication process so that the process is effective in allowing a group of individuals, as a whole, to deal with a complex problem. In the case of the TeachingEnglish Blogathon, this means working remotely and anonymously to arrive at a consensus on the short-listed and then winning entries.
There are three award categories throughout this activity:
The first category is for a teacher of English who have posted the most outstanding blog posts during the TeachingEnglish Blogathon. We are sending the winning teacher to the 46th IATEFL Conference in Glasgow in 2012. The winner will have her/his conference fee, flights and connecting travel, hotel accommodation, meals and subsistence paid for by the British Council in Turkey.
