Turkey is announced as the Market Focus Country for London Book Fair 2013. With the London Book Fair 2013, Market Focus Turkey, it is aimed to allow Turkish publishing sector to develop collaborations in the international arena and to support the sector to gain a more competitive frame. The Market Focus programme will be supported by exciting series of public events by British Council.

With the coordination of the Turkish Ministry Of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of the Libraries and Publications, Market Focus Turkey will be planned and implemented by the Turkish Organizing Committee of the International Book Fairs, in which the representatives from the sectoral, professional associations and Istanbul Chamber of Commerce take place as corporate members.

The Market Focus Programme
The Market Focus programme was first created in 2004 for London Book Fair to draw attention to certain countries and highlight the trade links with this territory, its publishing industry and the opportunities for conducting business with the rest of the world. The Market Focus 2013 is aiming to liaise Turkish publishing industry with first of all with the British and then the foreign counterparts by representing all the components of the sector with a series of events intended for the professionals and to organize cultural, artistic and literary events around the different regions of the Great Britain.
