15 - 17 April 2013
Earls Court, London

Turkey is designated as Market Focus Country for The London Book Fair 2013, placing the spotlight on publishing trade links, literary and cultural exchanges between Turkey and the UK.

The London Book Fair is the global market place for rights negotiation and the sale and distribution of content across print, audio, TV, film and digital channels, attracting around 25,000 visitors each year.

The Market Focus Programme has done much to open doors, creating both commercial and cultural partnerships around the world since it was first introduced in 2004. This year the Programme has been developed through a partnership between The London Book Fair, the UK Publishers Association, the Turkish National Organising Committee for International Book Fairs and the British Council.

Over the past two years in the lead up to Turkey Market Focus, the British Council's literature programme has been building relationships between writers, publishers, translators and industry professionals from the UK and Turkey.

Our Cultural Programme at The London Book Fair will represent the most comprehensive ever series of events, bringing writers from Turkey to the UK.
