British Council Tunisia
The Duke of York's visit to the Britih Council in Tunis

During his visit to Tunisia as ambassador for British business, HRH Duke of York, HM The Queen's second son, accompanied by the British ambassador, Chris O'Connor, and members of his staff, paid a visit to the British Council centre in Tunis on Wednesday, 20 May.

After brief presentations on key aspects of the British Council's work in Tunisia and the facilities offered by our centre in the teaching of English and the running of British examinations, the Duke observed a go4english.com teaching session in progress with young learners; chatted with Tunisian accountants who have been studying for the ICFE qualification at our centre; and called in on a Women at Work planning meeting to talk to young female Tunisian film makers. Before he left to continue his hectic schedule, he found time to talk to a number of our staff and signed the Visitors' Book.
