HOW TO REGISTER FOR IELTS

There are some easy steps to follow:

ONLINE REGISTRATION

Complete the online registration

After you have completed the Application online, You will receive an automatic email confirming your registration. within three days you or someone you authorise, need to come to our office with:
1. Two passport sized photographs (your face clearly visible, glasses removed),
2. Copy of your identification documents (National ID and Passport), (with the original).
3. IELTS fee you will pay in cash/ cheque

If you send someone on your behalf, please make sure you sign the copies of your National ID and Passport. Please email us to info@tn.britishcouncil.org stating who will come on your behalf with the listed documentation.

Please note that at this time, the IELTS fee is payable in cash and cheque only (Tunisian Dinar).

2. For preparation, you can buy the IELTS preparation book form our premises at 25 TND

AT THE BRITISH COUNCIL

Check availability of preferred test date with Customer Service Officer.
•Complete the ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
•Show VALID Passport or National Identity Card. A copy will be attached to the application form.

•You will receive a confirmation letter giving full test details. Your application form filled in and signed,
A copy of your national ID or a copy of valid passport (with the original), Pay for your exam :250 TD in cash or cheque .
Do not forget to include your contact number and the module chosen (academic or general training).

On the test day

Arrival Time

The test starts punctually at 9am and you need to arrive at the latest by 8.30 am. If you arrive after the start of the test you will not be allowed to take the test on that date.  

Cloakroom

You will have to leave all your belongings in a cloakroom. The cloakroom will be locked for the duration of the exam, but we strongly recommend not to bring any valuables, mobile phones etc to the test venue. British Council is not responsible for loss or damage to your personal belongings at the test venue.

ID Check

An ID Check will take place before you can enter the test room. You must bring along the ID (National Identity Card or Passport) that you stated in your application form. Driving licenses and student IDs are not acceptable proof of identity. Candidates without a valid ID will not be allowed to sit the test.

Materials allowed in the test room

  • valid ID
  • a pencil/ pen/ highlighter
  • an eraser
  • a bottle of water

You are not allowed to bring into the examination room any food, electronic devices e.g. mobile phones, electronic translators. If any of these items are found in your possession you will be disqualified.

Test

At 9am the test starts with a welcome and a short introduction from your supervisor.

Please note that there are no breaks between the first three parts of the test.
