CONVERSATION COURSES
Develop your English skills and improve your opportunities

Whatever your level, we can help you test and develop your English language skills through a variety of accredited English courses taught by our experienced and qualified native speaker teachers.

These courses focus primarily on your listening and speaking skills.  Reading, writing, grammar practise and its usage are kept to a minimum.  You will be encouraged to practise your oral skills through pair work and group work following a course of stimulating topics and themes.

Level testing:

If you are a new student, you will be tested into the most level appropriate to your needs to maximize your learning experience in class.

Course division:

We divide our students into 3 levels from lower intermediate to upper intermediate.

The courses run one day a week.  Generally the courses are on Saturdays from 11.00 to 13.00.  Check with us to find out if we provide for other times.

Progress check:

1- We will assess your progress throughout your course.  You will be evaluated on your attendance and participation in class.

End of term:

If you are successful you will receive a certificate.

Click the table here to see the relationship between our British Council Tunis level systems, the Common European Framework levels system with descriptors for each level, and how these relate to the various Cambridge external exams.

What is the Common European Framework? (CEF)

The Common European Framework is

a tool developed by the Council of Europe, for setting clear, attainable standards at different levels of language learning
a tool that allows for standards to be easily comparable at an international level
a global levels system with clear guidelines about what a learner can do for each level
a portfolio with learner biography, dossier of work and language passport

Fees:

We offer these courses throughout the year and the costs depend on the course type and number of hours. More details about costs and course dates are available from here.
