The Foreign & Commonwealth Office is running its Chevening Fellowships scheme for the fifth successive year
Chevening Fellowships (which complement the longstanding Chevening Scholarships scheme) were introduced in 2005.
The Fellowships comprise short (12-week) courses at British universities that focus on particular subjects aligned to the UK's strategic international priorities.
The Chevening Fellowships are aimed at mid-career professionals with at least 4 years experience who are in positions of leadership and influence (or are in line for such positions) and are active in the field of Fellowship subject.
The programmes are designed as dynamic, training and professional development opportunities in the UK. Programme content is of a high quality with contributions from leading academics and experts in the field.
Tunisia has had seven Chevening Fellows between 2006 and 2009.

The Embassy is now taking nominations for 2010.

Courses run for 12 weeks from January-April 2010. All expenses are paid for by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Selection is very competitive and is at the discretion of a selection panel in London.
