Summits
Orange lozenge left Orange lozenge right

By creating long-term, people to people connections and highlighting the shared interest between the next generation of leaders from a variety of sectors, TN2020 enables real, sustainable change on both sides of the Atlantic  The annual TN2020 summits are a key component of the project to ensure this outcome occurs.

Each summit focuses on issues that fall under the three TN2020 programme areas of sustainable living, building resilience in communities and creativity and innovation. Most importantly, each summit has established an enduring international connection with the organisations and communities where it takes place.

Dublin, Ireland & Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK - 2008
The TN2020 Inaugural summit held on the island of Ireland in 2008 explored the theme of conflict and cooperation within the transatlantic relationship. 100 members from 21 different countries in Europe and North America were in attendance, and the summit culminated with action planning for the network moving forward.
Chicago, Illinois, United States - 2010
The Chicago Summit, held from 20-25 June 2010, continued the development of the network by bringing together the roughly 100 members; 45 new members and 60 members who had also attended the Ireland event.
