Whether you want to be the Commercial Director of a football club, manage a sporting mega-event like the Olympic Games, run a Formula One team or own a basketball franchise, a strong business and management education is essential.

There are a large number of universities across Britain that offer business and management degrees, and many of them also have specialist sport management programmes too.

On such programmes, you are able to study a wide-range of important subjects including sport marketing, sponsorship, event and facility management, human resource management and sport finance.

The programmes also help students acquire a range of important skills that will be important for those interested in a career in sport, including decision-making, time-management, team building, report writing, and producing professional presentations.

UK graduates have a proven track record of moving on into successful and rewarding careers in sport. Graduates are likely to find themselves working anywhere from teams, clubs, events, federations and governing bodies, through to sponsors, broadcasters, equipment suppliers, event management companies and merchandisers.

Irrespective of the university you chose to study at, all of them provide their students with the very best careers advice that will help them secure a job in their chosen profession.
