Thailand English Teaching Project 2013

We are delighted to announce the launch of our Thailand Language Assistant Project for 2013.

Following the successful pilot project in 2012 which brought 65 UK undergraduates to Thailand to work in Thai schools, we have agreed with the Ministry of Education of Thailand to run an expanded project in 2013.

We will soon be recruiting undergraduates and recent graduates form UK Higher Education institutions. Successful applicants will come to Thailand for 8 weeks from mid-July to mid-September 2013 to work as English Teaching Assistants in schools, vocational colleges and adult education colleges across Thailand.

This is a great opportunity for students from UK institutions to gain invaluable work experience in an international context and to experience the wonders of Thailand at the same time.

Initial recruitment to the programme will be managed by participating UK Higher Education Institutions, so if you are interested in taking part in the project, please keep a look out at your college or university for advertisements and further recruitment information.

Successful applicants will need to cover:

Return airfares UK-Thailand-UK
Cost of Thai visa
Travel and Medical insurance

In return, you will be provided with:

Orientation programme in Bangkok with accommodation
Transport between Bangkok and your workplace at the start/end of contract
Accommodation at or near your workplace
Meals/meal allowance
A monthly allowance of 10,000 Thai Baht (Around 215 GBP)

We look forward to welcoming you to Thailand in 2013!
