How to Enrol for the Course(s)

Enrolment Procedures
Step 1: Book a placement test date and time by calling or visiting one of our centres.
Step 2: The teacher will tell you the test result after the placement test and a speaking interview with you or your child, and recommend the most suitable course(s) based on level of English.
Step 3: Our customer relations team will inform you of course schedules and provide further course details.
Step 4: Register for the course if there is a suitable course available, and pay the course fee. Alternatively, reserve a place and pay later. If the course is fully booked, your name or your child’s name will be put on a waiting list. The test results are valid for up to 6 months.
Step 5: On the first day of the class, you will be able to buy their coursebooks at the British Council, and will also be able to join our self-access learning centre, the ‘Learning Lounge’ for free during their period of study.

 

Payment Terms and Conditions

1.  If for any reason the British Council has to cancel your class, you will be entitled to a full refund of the fee paid.

  • A request slip for a refund will be issued once you return the original receipt to an officer at the registration desk.
  • The British council reserves the right to not refund the fee if the student does not return the original receipt to an officer at the registration desk before the end of that term.

2. If you decide to cancel your course or transfer your course fee to a class time different to your original registration.

  • You are required to come to the centre and contact an officer at the registration desk at least 1 week before the start of the course. An administrative charge of 1,000 Baht will be deducted from the course fee for the British Council Siam Square, Pinklao and Ladprao and 500 Baht for the British Council Chiang Mai.
  • No refund request will be accepted by The British Council after the course starts
  • The British Council does not issue refund request slips or allow class transfers based on a phone request circumstances.
  • A request slip for a refund or class transfer will be issued only if you return the original receipt to an officer at the registration desk.
3.  The refund will be transferred to your bank account according to the information you have completed in the refund request form. You will receive the refund 30 days after completing the refund request form.
4.  The registration officer will contact you when the refund is transferred to your bank account. You are required to check your bank account.
5.  The British Council reserves the right not to refund the deposit for the English course in any case.
6.  If the British Council is forced to cancel a class or part of a class for reasons beyond its control (e.g. due to factors such as power failure, flooding, or political campaign) it will take action to ensure, whenever possible, that the complete course syllabus is covered. This will be achieved either by rearranging the cancelled class at another time, adding time on to remaining classes, and/or giving extra assignments to cover specific items missed.

7.  Regulations for the placement test:

  • You are required to pay for the placement test as soon as you apply for the test the first time.
  • The Placement test cannot be refunded for any reasons.
