Young Learners’ Art Competition 2012

The global Art Competition 2012 is now open to British Council young learner students

The local competition will be held across all British Council Teaching Centres in Thailand, for each centre there will be prizes for the winning picture and 2 runners-up in each age group.

Theme:

My perfect day

Age groups:

Competition entries will fall into 3 age groups: under 8s, 9-11, 12-15

Prizes:

There will be prizes for the winning picture and runners-up in each age group.

The three winners (one from each age group) will then have the chance to enter their picture into the global young learners art competition. This will be held in London in November 2012, involving students from all over the world. The three winning pictures and nine runners-up from the global competition will be displayed in promotional materials, on the British Council website and a desk calendar which will be published around the world and available to download from the British Council website.

Entry guideline:

Entries should be between A4 and A3 size (no bigger) and art materials should be used that give strong colours and lines, such as paint, pastels or wax crayons - coloured pencils are too faint.
Entrant should make up a title for their picture.
On the back of each entry, entrants should write the title of their picture, their name, their age and the name of the teaching centre. Please double check that the names and ages are correct and clear.

Submission deadline:

Students should hand their entry to their teacher by 29th July 2012
