Name: Pawin Chanjaroen (17 years old) School: Anglo-Chinese Junior College (Singapore)
How did you hear about the scholarship? I heard about the scholarship from my Aunt. She went to British Council “Education UK exhibition” and she subscribed for education e-newsletter so she always gets news about scholarship to study in UK.
How did you prepare for the exam? Most of the questions are ‘O level’ standard which is quite easy for me and I think for other candidates also. I’m pretty sure all the contents have been covered in secondary 3-4 syllabus. The only problem is that many students don’t understand the questions because the questions are in English. I think the best way to prepare for this exam is to borrow science and math textbooks that are written in English and try to get familiarised with the terms, phrases and spellings. When you understood all of them, this test should be a piece of cake for you.
How do you feel after having been informed you’re one of those awarded full scholarship? Unbelievable! When I heard from my Dad that I am awarded a scholarship I thought he was just kidding. I felt really good. It was a dream comes true. Studying in England is a great opportunity that I never thought I would have.
When will you go to the UK to start you’re a level? September 2010!
