Legal restrictions for people coming to work in the UK

We will only consider applications from those who already have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom, unless we specifically state otherwise in the advertisement or job description.

Anyone applying for jobs in the UK should be aware that there are certain legal restrictions which apply to taking up employment. We can only apply for work permits from the British Government's Department for Education and Employment if there are no suitable candidates normally resident in the UK or who are nationals of the European Economic Area (EU States plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) or Switzerland.

Further information on the UK Government's immigration policy can be found on the web site below:

Home Office Immigration and Nationality Directorate

The British Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 requires that all successful candidates will be asked to provide evidence of their immigration status and eligibility to seek work in the UK. Therefore if you are not normally resident in the UK, you will need to bring your passport, birth certificate or other appropriate immigration documents if you are invited to an interview.
