Some countries require compulsory HIV antibody testing, which must be negative, before certain types of visa and working or residence permits are issued. We do not support these policies but we are obliged to comply with a foreign government's immigration policy. Under these circumstances, medical examinations and confidentiality are governed by our personnel policy on AIDS and HIV antibody status.
As part of our Equal Opportunities policy, we seek the right person for the right job, irrespective of nationality. We welcome applications from anyone who meets our minimum requirements and those of the advertised vacancy.
However, there may be occasions where foreign government employment and visa restrictions in a country disallow an offer of employment. You should read the job description of the vacancies you wish to apply for to check if restrictions apply.
Applicants who are offered a contract of employment must apply for an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclousre and Barring Service (DBS) (Formerly Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)) in the UK or an equivalent body in another country, where possible.
