IELTS BAND SCALE

There is no pass or fail mark. A score is reported for each module of the test. The individual module score is then calculated to produce an Overall Band Score of one to nine. Overall Band Scores are reported in whole and Half Bands for each module.

Different institutions have their own entrance requirements and may require minimum scores in particular modules. In general, universities request an Overall Band Score of 6.0 or 6.5 for entrance to academic courses. You are advised to check the score required with the particular institution to which you are applying.

TEST REPORT

The test result is valid for two years.

Scores are recorded on an official Test Report Form, showing overall ability, as well as performance in listening, reading, writing and speaking.

The IELTS Test Report Form will be sent to you by registered mail 13 calendar days after your test.

We will give you only one copy of the Test Report Form

If you require more than five extra copies to be sent to institutions, or your request is made after you submit the application form, and within two years of the test date, you will need to pay NT$100 plus the postage for each copy of the Test Report Form

Please note that the Test Report Form will not be sent to migration or education agents. We need three days to process after receiving your request. Please complete the application form in BLOCK LETTERS to avoid postal failure. You must provide a physical address as UPS will not deliver to a PO BOX.

ONLINE IELTS RESULTS SERVICE

Our Online IELTS Results Service enables those candidates who register for IELTS with the British Council to view their test results online after 12pm on the 13th day after the test date. Just simply click the link below and enter your 6-digit candidate number, ID number and personal details as required. Please note that the online result is provisional and should not be used as an official confirmation of your achievement. The online test result will only be available on the 13th day after the test, and within 28 days of the test date.

ENQUIRY ON RESULTS

If you wish to request a re-mark of your result, you must complete the ENQUIRE ON RESULTS Form and forward it along with your original Test Report Form and payment of NT$4,100 to the test centre where you took the test. All enquiries must be made within six weeks of the test date. No extra IELTS Test Reports request is accepted until your re-mark results have been done. We will notify you to pick up your results in person or send you the results by registered mail. The remarking process takes 8 to 10 weeks after submission of the re-marked form, excluding posting between UK and Taiwan. Should there be a change of test result, a full refund of the re-mark fee will be issued to you. For more information, please contact our Examinations Services .
