1.Candidates registering after 1 January 2010 must not wear glasses in the photographs that they submit for IELTS registration.
Registrations are accepted up to one week before the session date, or until the session is full. You can apply for IELTS by: (1) using our IELTS Online Registration System; (2) submitting your application in person at our Taipei Office or at of our British Council IELTS Registration Agents; (3) sending your application in by post.
IELTS Online Registration System
1.Visit our IELTS Online Registration System website
2.Register and complete the online application form
3.Upload your photos and passport. Please note that photo must meet the requirements and the size must be JPG 235x235 pixels, and your passport size must be JPG 337x500 pixels.
4.Pay by credit card online and complete your registration. Please note that a failed online credit card payment will result in an unsuccessful registration. You will need to register again.
5.A successfully registered candidate will receive a confirmation email, and will be able to print out the IELTS Confirmation Letter, and the venue map.
APPLYING AT OUR INFORMATION CENTRE OR IELTS REGISTRATION AGENT OFFICES
Before you come:
- Download the IELTS application form (
 2 MB)
Download the IELTS application form (completed sample 1.22 MB)
- Fill it in with your details and sign it
- Bring it with you when you visit us
You also need to bring with you:
- Two passport-sized photographs. Photographs must meet the requirements.
- Your Valid passport and photocopy
The test fee is NT$5250. The application fee can only be accepted in cash if you submit your form in person at our information centre and Registration Agent Offices.

APPLYING BY POST
If you want to send us your application by post:
1. Download the IELTS application form ( 2 MB)

2. Fill it in with your details and sign it (Please indicate the city where you would like to sit your exam next to the preferred test date).
3. Put the application form in an envelope：
•Two passport-sized photographs. Photographs must meet requirements.
•Photocopy of your Valid passport
•The original bank transfer receipt. Please put the candidate's name first in the "Transfer From" column.
4. Send everything to the Taipei office. IELTS Registration Agents only accept applications submitted in person.
5. Please contact us at 02 8722 1039 after 3 working days to complete the registration process during the following hours: Mondays to Fridays 1000–1230, 1330–1800
Special Needs
If you have any special needs due to ill health/medical conditions, please submit your medical evidence along with the application form when you register for the test. Requests must be submitted at least three months before the test date.
