Here is a list of useful British Council websites which will help you to study and improve your English outside of the classroom.

LEARN ENGLISH KIDS
This is a great resource to help make learning English fun and interesting for children of all ages. It includes grammar tips, vocabulary games, songs and exciting interactive activities.

LEARN ENGLISH CENTRAL
For older learners – students and adults – this website has a weekly magazine with a different topic in each edition. Each topic has an article, related vocabulary and a useful grammar point. There are also listenings to download and English songs to learn.

LEARN ENGLISH PROFESSIONALS
If you want to improve your English for business then this website is for you. It has a range of articles about different aspects of current business, along with lots of useful vocabulary

BBC LEARNING ENGLISH
This website gives you a huge range of activities to improve your English. You can listen to a sitcom, communicate with other learners of English, practise your grammar and read the latest news.

TAIPEI TIMES IELTS PAGE
Written by a British Council teacher, these weekly articles cover a different skill each week – namely speaking, reading and writing, giving you plenty of opportunity to practise and improve your skills. Start reading and improving your chances now!

If you enjoy using these resources, you are welcome to visit our centre to access a wide range of English language learning activities on our computers. The centre is open:
