We subscribe to many reference sources and publications with information about education in the UK. We have specialised publications in a wide range of areas that includes levels of study such as school education, undergraduate and postgraduate courses as well as professional qualifications and training studies. We also have a number of references that will advise on visa requirements, financial aspects and all you need to know about living in the UK as a student.

Information sheets

These are a set of subject-specific sheets developed by us to help you get all the basic information you need about studying in the UK. They are updated annually and can provide information about according to the area or level of study. Subjects include school education, postgraduate studies and medical training. You can read or download the sheets from our website.

Internet access

We provide internet access to information resources about studying and living in the UK. You can search for courses, locate institutions through the EducationUK website and browse a number of selected websites for general information on studying and living in the UK.

Reference services

Our reference services can answer enquiries about UK culture, customs and institutions through a maintained collection of material that answers enquiries on different aspects of the UK, e.g. dates, places, people, organisations, and systems. We also offer self-access service to all customers, including:

• special access to the information sources of major UK institutions including the National Lending Library
• advice and assistance from experienced information staff of the library and information services

General Information about the UK

In close co-operation with the commercial section of the British Embassy we can offer access to basic information about the UK public sector, plus more detailed enquiries on the commercial sector. We also have information on UK commerce, tourism and government departments.
