“Word on the street” on BBC

"Word on the Street" is an exciting new English Language teaching programme co-produced by the BBC and the British Council.

"Word on the Street" looks at how English works in everyday life and presents lively aspects of young British culture. Each half hour episode is filmed in a different place in the UK and features drama, interviews and reports to help you improve your English language skills.

“Word on the Street” will be airing on BBC Arabic TV (starting Tuesday 22 May 2012 for 10 weeks) at the following times every week:

  • Tuesdays at 1730
  • Wednesdays at 1230 (Repeat)
  • Thursdays at 2130 (Repeat)
  • Fridays at 0330 (Repeat)
  • Saturdays at 0630 (Repeat)

Please note that all the above timings are in GMT.

If you won’t be able to watch it live on TV, you can still watch “Word on the Street” on LearnEnglish website.
