The British Council invites you to its CAFÉ SCIENTIFIQUE 2007 on CLIMATE CHANGE AND PUBLIC HEALTH in Geneva and Basel, March 14 & 16 2007
The increasing levels of man-made greenhouse gases, the international science community now agrees, are leading to global climate change. Consequences will include higher temperatures, rising sea levels, and an overall impact on global weather. These developments are likely to have serious repercussions on the habitats of countless organisms and will aversely affect the lives of millions of people and with it public health. Another factor, which has recently gained publicity is that climate change will also have a severe impact on business around the globe and thus on the world economy as a whole.
