The pre-test communication and test administration procedures were professionally organized and IELTS took the time and gave us the attention needed to insure the proper administration of the test.

On the day of the test, the IELTS team organized the test at our school auditorium and the test was conducted without a single problem for me or our students. The proctors who conducted the test were prompt, friendly and above all professional. After the testing, students were so excited that they came to me to say that the administration was very user-friendly. As a result, they felt more comfortable and confident during the test administration and they could concentrate on doing their very best. They specifically expressed their feeling that they had performed better on the IELTS test than on previous ESL language tests they had taken.
In fact, when the results came back two weeks later, just as I was told they would, their scores were significantly better. Individual interviews were much more appreciated than the computer testing procedure of other tests. In addition to the success of the testing at our institution, colleges and universities to which Kumon students have applied to around the world have been more than happy to accept IELTS as verification of our students' English language ability.

Two years ago we decided to leave Switzerland and move to Perth to live there. The visa process took 1.5 years. In this process we also had to sit the IELTS test and achieve a certain amount of points...
On the preparation day, the IELTS Administrator showed us in a perfect and very sympathetic way what the IELTS test is about. My husband and I were thankful for this possibility because like this we were well-prepared for the test.
I especially liked the speaking part because there I had a person in front of me and so I was not just working alone. The examiner was friendly and there was a good atmosphere. Tired, we left Bern… with a good feeling but an uncertainty whether we had done it...

... but yes, two weeks later…we both did it and reached more points than we had to.

In May 2008 we finally got the letter that we needed to fly to Perth to get our visa stamps in our passports. In exactly 9 weeks we will fly to Perth forever.
