Chevening Alumni Association

Former Chevening scholars return to Sudan to take up leadership positions in NGOs, universities, and the field of law and media. They have now come together to form the Association which encourages contact between scholars, provides information to new scholars and works to strengthen the relationship between UK and Sudan.

Why should I join the Alumni Association?

To retain and develop contact with other Chevening scholars, and improve your networking opportunties.
To help provide information to new Chevening scholars about your experience of the programme.
To share your knowledge of the UK, especially in the education field.
To help strengthen the relationship between UK and Sudan.

Who can join?

At the moment membership is restricted to former Chevening scholars. However, this may be extended to include all students who have studied in the UK, who would be able to join as associate members. For more information about joining the Chevening Alumni Association you can contact us.

What you get by joining

By joining the association you will have the opportunity to meet other former scholars and share your experience of the UK. You will be given priority to attend all cultural events, seminars, conferences and exhibitions organized and supported by us, and you will be invited to the British Embassy to attend important occasions like the Queen's Birthday.

Events

So far we have only had a limited number of events such as dinners, and receptions. However the Executive Committee of the Association is planning to organise various social, cultural and educational events (seminars, social evenings, film shows, art exhibitions.etc) that are broadly related to the British society and Sudanese community

Joining the association

Joining the association is easy. Simply download an application form, fill it in and bring it along to our centre. If you need more information about the association please don't hesitate to contact us.
