ielts exams dates

IELTS tests are available on up to 48 fixed dates a year. Tests are normally taken on Saturdays, with some sessions on Thursdays, to give test takers and the centre more flexibility.

The Listening, Reading and Writing tests are all taken on the same day. The Speaking test can take place up to seven days before or after the other papers.

The following test dates are available at the British Council, Sudan.

Before you can sit for an IELTS test, you need to register in advance.  Places fill up quickly, so you are advised to register as soon as possible after registration begins to ensure there are places available.  There are a limited number of places for each exam, and these are allocated on a first come, first served basis.  Registration usually starts 4-6 weeks before the exam date.  Please check British Council notice boards for information.  You can register on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30am to 11:30am.

To register, you need a completed and signed application form, two recent coloured passport photographs, a valid passport or national ID and SDG 450. You must register in person.
