We develop partnerships and networks between Sri Lanka and UK to create opportunities and advance knowledge in English, Education, Society and Rights through a variety of projects, training programmes and scholarships for children, young people and adults.

Project English
Project English aims to reach millions of teachers and learners of English in Sri Lanka and India and to provide them with access to the best resources from the UK.
Global School Partnerships
Promoting learning partnerships among schools in the UK and Sri Lanka creating a platform for young people of similar age groups from the two countries to interact with each other on global issues.
Higher and Furhter Education partnerships

Building higher and further education international partnerships in research, collaborative delivery, student exchanges and the development of strategic links at institutional level.

Active Citizens
Active Citizens is a global network of community youth leaders that is being developed by the British Council and local civil society partners in participating countries.
Forum Theatre
Forum theatre uses the power of theatre to depict sensitive social issues within a community, by giving audience the opportunity to resolve the issue, bringing an alternate outcome to the end of the play.
Climate Change
We are working to strengthen networks and relationships among decision makers, influencers and future leaders worldwide to tackle climate change.
