The Education UK Exhibition organised by the British Council Sri Lanka continues to be the single largest international education exhibition in Colombo and Kandy. This year 59 UK institutions participated in Colombo and 27 in Kandy providing a good opportunity for more than 3000 visitors to meet UK representatives in Colombo while about 1000 visitors attended the Exhibition in Kandy, excellent numbers indeed considering the security constraints.

UK institutions value the Sri Lankan Education UK Exhibition, and their positive feedback shows that they recognise it as a worthwhile investment. This year too the exhibition was oversubscribed due to the unavailability of larger venues in Colombo and Kandy. Alongside the Exhibition many of the UK institutional representatives took the opportunity to make school visits, interview prospective students and talk to the British Council about the development of new partnerships with Sri Lankan colleges and universities. An exhausting couple of weeks, but certainly well worthwhile!
