for exam candidates registered with the British Council We now have a special exam corner with reference packs containing books and cassettes / CDs and workcard booklets. If you want to practise listening in the exams corner, we also have discmans for you to borrow.
You can study whole practice tests using workcard booklets, which contain examples, practice test questions and answers. Look at the list of workcards for your exam (KET, PET, FCE, CAE and IELTS) and choose the skill you want to practise. You can keep a record of your score on your self study plan.
We have more than 20 listening booths for you to practise your listening skills in the library.

The Teachers’ Corner is a dedicated area for teachers.
There are practical teaching and photocopiable resources in the reference section of the teachers' room.

This offers online periodicals, journals and dictionaries for up-to-date information on teaching English, for example the ELT Newsletter which offers the latest news and ideas written by teachers for teachers.
We have recently added the ELT Journal CD ROM with back copies of the journal from 1981 - 2002.
Additionally, there are links to useful teaching websites such as IATEFL, Teaching English, Learn English, the Humanistic Language Teaching Website and One Stop English.
There is a selection of teaching periodicals and newsletters including the ELT Journal, Teacher Trainer, Modern English Teacher, World English and the English Teaching Professional.

Full library membership entitles you to use reference and lending sections of the ELZ. Teaching Centre students and the exams candidates registered with the British Council get a free and automatic reference membership with the opportunity to upgrade to a full membership.
