These courses can be taken to achieve the British Council Teaching Certificate for Module Two and Three. At the end of the course, teachers can choose to register for the prestigious University of Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT). If you are planning on doing the TKT exam, it is advisable to book your place at the workshops, though you can also take the test without attending the courses.

IDENTIFYING THE FUNCTIONS OF LEARNER
LANGUAGE
Relation of classroom language to everyday
functions and situations, use of gestures to convey
meaning and different ways of helping learners to
develop their classroom language

CATEGORISING LEARNER MISTAKES
Differences between errors and slips, different
types of mistakes and understanding of the
reasons underlying different mistakes

TEACHER ROLES
Definition of teacher roles, analysis of a sample
lesson and teacher roles appropriate to different
activities

GROUPING STUDENTS
